The P.A.R.T.Y. Program is free for schools.
The only cost of the excursion is transport to and from the hospital and the resource cost for staff to attend (with the students) for a whole day.
The Program involves a full day schedule commencing at 9.00am and concluding at 2.40pm.
The maximum number of students is capped at 35 due to the areas of the hospital the Program visits, and to ensure all students can participate in the hands-on activities. A minimum number of 30 ensures that opportunities to attend are not wasted due to limited places available in the school year.
A minimum of three (3) school staff are required to attend with students.
These can be:
- student teachers,
- school nurses,
- class teachers,
- counsellors or other staff members.
A senior teacher must attend as the teacher-in-charge.
Six weeks prior to a school's P.A.R.T.Y. date, The Royal Adelaide Hospital will post out a P.A.R.T.Y. information pack. The pack includes all the necessary parent, student and teacher information and consent forms required for attendance.
